Mirabai Chanu's life has been full of struggles. She hails from a small town and her mother used to run a tea shop. Mirabai won the silver medal in weight lifting at the Tokyo Olympics. In Aaj Tak's special program Jai Ho, Mirabai interacted with anchor Anjana Om Kashyap. Recalling her life struggles, Mirabai told that she could not even get enough diet required for weight lifting.
