Young People's Drug use Reaching Deadly Heights

​2020 was the deadliest year on record for drug overdoses, with over 93,000 people killed from drug overdoses last year. A rise in fentanyl coupled with the isolation of the Coronavirus pandemic created a perfect storm. It's also easier than ever for young people to procure drugs with dealers a few taps of a button away via social media apps. We speak to Sam Quinones, author of 'Dreamland' and 'The Least of Us' and Matt Capelouto of 'Drug Induced Homicide' about how teenagers and young people under 25 are procuring drugs. Julie Burns, Executive Director of Rize, Massachusetts explains the treatment that RIZE supports for teens struggling with addiction.
