今回は、車の中で聞く、夕暮れの小雨の音。
降ったりやんだりの雨が降る、日が傾いた日、
1552年～の歴史あるお寺を訪れました。

すぐ近くを高速道路が走り、
リゾートマンションやスキー場もある
近代的な場所に囲まれていますが、
境内には古くからある歴史の風景がありました。

but the precincts have an ancient historical landscape.
石仏や石塔、観音堂などが残り、
昔からの地元の信仰の場。
そんな歴史の重みが、
夕暮れの暗めの風景に現われているようでした。

隣接するのはホタルの里。
暗くなってから観賞しました。
雨のせいで数は少なかったのですが、
儚くも息をするように光り空中を飛ぶ蛍を
見ることが出来ました。

I was able to see the fireflies flying in the air,
shining like a breath.
