Two Indian Air Force helicopters have been called in for rescue operations of people stranded in Chiplun and Khed towns in Maharashtra. BN Patil, District Collector of Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district has confirmed the ongoing rescue operations. Chiplun has been the worst affected due to heavy rains.
