The Kerala Health Minister Veena George on July 10 said that the state health department is on a high alert after 14 people, including a pregnant woman, tested with the mosquito-borne Zika virus. “Total positive cases of Zika virus are 14 in the state. Our department is on high alert and monitoring the situation closely. For COVID, we have always tried to keep the number of cases below medical capacity. No one died in Kerala due to lack of oxygen supply,” said the Health Minister.
