Ex-Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh refused to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Monday in connection with a money laundering case.
This development comes after he approached the Supreme Court seeking protection from 'coercive action'. Currently, believed to be in Delhi, Deshmukh had skipped the ED summons twice earlier on May 25 and May 29 respectively citing the threat of contracting Covid-19 owing to the fact that he suffers from several age-related ailments.
