The Prime Minister officially opened the new police station in Caranage , the Police Service also officially launched its new maritime and riverine unit.
And the Prime Minister says as the Government will be investing in small vessels for that unit the police must recruit people who are not afraid of the sea and who also know about boats.
This, as he called for a moment of silence for police officers and other citizens who have lost their lives due to COVID-19.
