LOOK: Noynoy Aquino Laid To Rest
Former president Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino 3d was laid to rest at the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque City on June 26, 2021. As chief executive, Aquino was accorded full military honors, including a 21-gun salute. The cremated remains of Aquino and a folded Philippine flag were carried by troops from the cemetery gate to the tomb of his parents, former president Corazon Aquino and senator Benigno 'Ninoy' Aquino Jr., where he was buried. Archbishop Socrates Villegas said a prayer as family and friends bid goodbye to the former leader. Aquino died onJune 24, 2021. He was 61.
