Vaccinations.
Washington is officially moving to incentivize
its citizens to get the COVID-19 vaccination. .
The state’s liquor and cannabis board revealed
their 'Jabs for Joints' campaign on June 7. .
All adults age 21 and over will
receive one pre-rolled joint if they
receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
The complimentary joint must be taken at the time of vaccination - not at a later date or time. .
Bars have also been permitted to offer
one free alcoholic drink to customers who
provide proof of vaccination. .
The free drink incentive expires on June 30 and
the marijuana joint incentive expires July 12.
According to Washington Governor Jay Inslee,
66 percent of residents over the age of 16 have at
least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. .
Governor Inslee said
Washington will “likely
hit” its goal of 70 percent
partial immunization
by June 30.
