On Wednesday, February 11, the report of Arsenal Consulting, a Massachusetts-based digital forensics firm, revealed that a cyber attacker had used malware to plant about 10 incriminating letters on the laptop of activist Rona Wilson.
These letters have been used to implicate Wilson in the ongoing Elgar Parishad case of 2018.
What makes Arsenal Consulting’s report significant is that the NIA’s case is dependent on the “evidence” they claimed to have seized from arrested persons, including from Wilson’s computer.
Arsenal Consulting has found that this letter — along with at least nine others — had been planted in a hidden folder on Wilson’s computer by an unidentified attacker who used malware to control and spy on the laptop.
