Police in Penang are ensuring that SOP are being observed in all shops and offices listed under the essential services on the first day of lockdown on Tuesday (June 1).
Meanwhile, state police chief Comm Datuk Sahabudin Abd Manan said the situation was under control as there were less traffic on the road.
