Hundreds of locals gathered at a village in Gokak tehsil in the Belagavi district of Karnataka on Sunday to organise the funeral of a “divine" horse, flouting coronavirus guidelines.
The incident comes amid an ongoing second wave of coronavirus in Karnataka. The state reported 25,979 new infections and 626 deaths on Sunday.
