The Firearms Amendment Bill 2021 seeks to grant use of pepper spray to civilians. During the second reading of the bill in the Senate, the Attorney General outlined the means by which persons would acquire pepper spray and the serious responsibility associated with such acquisition.
The Senate has also been asked to consider a proposal for pepper spray to be given to minors.
