11 patients die at Andhra hospital after oxygen supply disrupts; Ghulam Nabi Azad appointed as Congress' Covid team chief; more

At least 11 patients undergoing treatment died after the oxygen supply was hampered at Sri Venkateswara Ramnarayan Ruia government hospital of Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati on Monday. About 30 doctors were immediately rushed into the ICU to attend to the patients. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has inquired about the incident at Tirupati Ruia Hospital and sought a report. In the other story, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday appointed G-23 leader Ghulam Nabi Azad as the chairman of the party's Covid task force. This is the first major responsibility that has been given to Ghulam Nabi Azad since the G-23 leaders wrote a letter last year demanding free and fair organisational election in the Congress.
