温润如古玉，富丽如锦缎，集绘画、雕刻、青铜、瓷器等中国传统工艺于一身，这就是景泰蓝，它真正的名字是"铜胎掐丝珐琅"，这种工艺最早出现在春秋时期，到了明朝景泰年间的制作工艺最为精美细致，故称之为"景泰蓝"。使用的珐琅釉多以蓝色为主，1956年，42家私营珐琅厂和专为皇宫制作的造办处合并成立为北京市珐琅厂，郭沫若同志亲自题写厂名，它是行业范围内唯一一家中华老字号。回溯历史，民国时期一支抢救小组经过不懈努力，才使得这项精湛的民族传统工艺传承至今。

This kind of craft first appeared in the Spring and Autumn Period,during the reign of Jingtai in the Ming Dynasty. The workmanship was the most exquisite, most of the enamel used is blue, so it is called ‘Cloisonne’. In 1956, 42 private enamel factories and the manufacturing office for the Imperial Palace merged to form Beijing enamel factory, comrade Guo Moruo inscribed the name of the factory in person. It is the only Chinese time-honored brand in the industry. Looking back on history, during the period of the Republic of China, a rescue team made unremitting efforts, which has made this exquisite national traditional craft been handed down to the present.
