In an interview with India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai, Dr Soumya Swaminathan, the World Health Organization's (WHO) chief scientist, said that the current number of Covid-19 cases in India is significantly underreported.
Concerning the enforced lockdown and curfews, she stated that these restrictions are necessary in order to control the spread of Covid, as the chain breaks.
