The oxygen crisis in the country due to the devastating second wave of coronavirus has hit the Indian Army's base hospital in Delhi. Officials at the Army base hospital in Delhi raised an alarm on Tuesday morning over the shortage of oxygen with existing reserves running out.
As per sources, the replenishment of oxygen supplies at the hospital did not take place via the Delhi government, following which the Army sent an SOS to the Ministry of Defence.
The India Army's Base Hospital Delhi Cantonment (BHDC) has reportedly deployed vehicles out of the national capital to bring jumbo oxygen cylinders on an emergency basis. The facility currently requires 125 jumbo cylinders daily.
