The Centre said it had provided more than 15 crore vaccines to states free of cost. More than 1 crore doses are still available with the states/UTs and more than 80 lakh doses would be sent in the next 3 days. However, several states have expressed their inability to start dosing those above 18 from May 1, since vaccine manufacturers have said that adequate supply of vaccines could only be ensured after May 15.
