The novel coronavirus variant that is causing India’s current (second) wave is constantly evolving. Doctors from a number of hospitals said that they are witnessing cases where a patient has typical symptoms of the disease but tests negative for the viral infection, sometimes twice or even thrice through RT-PCR.
