Pilgrims bathe in Ganges despite India Covid surge

Hundreds of thousands of Hindu pilgrims take a dip in the holy Ganges river as part of the Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest religious gathering, despite Covid-19 infections rising at their fastest rate in India since the start of the pandemic.
