A vaccine officer at Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital in Delhi has tested positive for Covid-19. The vaccinating officer has been isolated, but the case led to chaos at the vaccination centre in Delhi and caused a delay in the process.
India on Thursday registered a record single-day spike of 1,26,789 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the figures released by the health ministry. Ten states including Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Kerala have shown a steep rise in the daily Covid-19 cases accounting for 84.21 per cent of the 1,26,789 new infections.
