Two individuals were caught carrying the EVM machines on a two-wheeler by the public. The incident sparked an outrage and political parties such as Congress and DMK accused this breach of protocol.
Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo, confirmed that the men carrying the machine were members of EC and were carrying the machines which were not to be used for polling.
