The Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday took custody of jailed gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari at Punjab's Rupnagar jail to transfer him to Banda prison. The team that was sent to Ropar jail in Punjab comprised young, flamboyant and experienced officers.
