Polling began in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry at 7 am on Tuesday. The third phase of voting is currently underway for 31 seats spread across three districts in South 24 Parganas, Howrah and Hooghly of West Bengal. Some incidents of violence were reported from parts of districts where voting is underway in the third phase. TMC has alleged that Sujatha Mandal has been attacked.
