Kamal Haasan, the actor-turned-politician, has made Coimbatore South seat a high-profile seat in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election 2021. Even though he surprised many by not contesting from any of the seat in Chennai, his choice for Coimbatore was not surprising in the end.
