In a twist to the Antilia bomb scare case, former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh has accused Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of extortion. In his letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Singh claimed that Deshmukh had directed suspended Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 crore every month from bars, restaurants and other establishments. NCP chief Sharad Pawar addressed the media and gave clarification on the Maharashtra Extortion case. Sharad Pawar claimed that allegations made by Param Bir Singh on Anil Deshmukh are false. Sharad Pawar defended Anil Deshmukh by providing Maharashtra Home Minister's past records. According to the latest update, Param Bir Singh has filed a plea in Supreme Court demanding CBI investigation and unbiased probe in the case.
