International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8. The day dedicated to females is recognised by all the countries around the world. In many countries, a national holiday is observed on this day. Women's Day was celebrated for the first time in the second decade of the 20th century, first on March 19. This year's International Women's Day campaign has chosen the theme #ChooseToChallenge with the idea that a challenged world is an alert world and individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions. It is a day to spread awareness among the people regarding women's rights and gender equality. This day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
