Clean-up Balls
Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and Manila Water President and CEO Jose Rene Almendras and other officials throw 'Mabuhay Balls' into a creek on Hoover St. In Barangay Addition Hills on Jan. 27, 2020. This is part of the city's Adopt-an-Estero Program, a follow-up to the memorandum of agreement the city government signed in 2020 with Manila Water and the DENR to rehabilitate the San Juan River. 'Mabuhay Balls' contain microorganisms that will deodorize the creek by eating the harmful bacteria that causes the bad smell.
