Trinidad and Tobago is not leaving the Organisation of American States but it will not participate in or vote in support of any motion put forward or sponsored by or on behalf of a what it calls a purported representative of Venezuela since it says it withdrew from the OAS in 2017.
The statement was made by the Foreign and Caricom Affairs Ministry today just days after the OAS said it continues to recognise Juan Guiado as interim president and not president Nicolas Maduro.
