The Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet has approved the 'love jihad' law or the MP Freedom of Religion Bill 2020 after a special meeting chaired by the chief minister. The ordinance has been sent to the governor for approval. The new law will invite 2-10 years' of imprisonment for forced conversion of a minor or a woman from a lower caste.
