What Is #Edamame?
Edamame beans are whole, immature soybeans. They are green in color, different to regular soybeans. They are typically sold frozen while still encased in their pods, which are not edible.
Edamame is prepared by boiling with their pods with a pinch of salt. They normally served as a side dish or added to soups, stews, noodle dishes, even salads.
They are a whole protein source. A cup of cooked edamame provides around 18.5 grams of protein. They are among the best plant-based protein sources and the cornerstone of many vegan and vegetarian diets.
