Three sisters, who ran a cleaning service agency, pleaded not guilty in the Melaka Sessions Court on Monday (Dec 21) to 35 counts of trafficking 35 foreign women for the purpose of labour exploitation.
Ee Hwei Ping, Ee Hwei Shan and Ee Hwei Ting were accused of holding 32 Indonesians and three Cambodians against their will in five houses in Melaka on Nov 12.
Hwei Shan’s husband, Kok Chee Pin, pleaded not guilty to 21 counts of abetting the sisters in exploiting the victims at the same time and place.
