It’s time to dig taro again. When I was a child, my grandfather always loved to cook taro rice for me. Back then, rice was expensive, so mom or grandfather would cook vegetables such as taro, beans, pumpkins, and sweet potatoes together with rice as a meal. That way, we would save up rice and sell it for money, in order to pay tuition fees of children... I am capable of cooking delicious and fragrant taro rice now, but the person who taught me this recipe is no longer with me...
