The festival of Somavati Amavasya will be celebrated on 14 December. Amavasya that falls on Monday is called Somavati Amavasya. This combination is formed two or three times a year. Women observe this fast for the long life of children and husband. Also, bathing, meditation and charity are of special importance on these days.
सोमवती अमावस्या का पर्व 14 दिसंबर को मनाया जाएगा। सोमवार के दिन पड़ने वाली अमावस्या को सोमवती अमावस्या कहा जाता है। यह संयोग साल में दो या तीन बार बनता है। इस व्रत को महिलाएं संतान एवं पति की लंबी उम्र की कामना के लिए करती हैं। साथ ही इन दिन स्नान-ध्यान एवं दान-पुण्य का विशेष महत्व है।
