Hi everyone!! Welcome back to my kitchen jungle….♀️♀️♀️♀️
Today I would like to introduce you to Myanmar (Burmese)street food that I ate for breakfast. These are Shan noodles, two kinds of Burmesepancake (Bane Mote and Mote Pyar Thatlet) and Dosa (or) Mote Yae Par. All ofBurmese street food is so delicious with low cost.
Shan noodle is one of the favourite noodles that originatedfrom Shan state. Both the broth and dry noodles are covered with chicken orpork curry paste and tossed in chilli sauce.I enjoy this Shan noodle forbreakfast but it absolutely can also be had at all times of the day.
Burmese pancakes are made using rice flour and I can eat them everyday for breakfast. It is fluffy in the middle and slightly crispy on thesides. The brown one is with jiggery sauce and you can choose to have it withan extra egg top or sprinkle with nuts. The white one is original and it’stopped with peas, coriander leaves and roasted sesame.
The last one is dosa or Mote Yae Par or Toa Shay. It originated from India and a lot of Myanmar love to eat it for breakfast. Youcan eat the original one with special sauce and you can also choose dosa with jiggerysauce, dosa with pea, spring onion and roasted sesame, and special dosa withegg, bean powder and roasted sesame.
Another kind of dosa wrapped with cabbage, chickpeas, chilli, carrot mix with indian curry powder is called “Gangster Dosa”.
