1954 ஜனவரி 18 அன்று குருவாயூர் கோயிலுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட பத்மநாபன் 1962-ம் ஆண்டு முதல் குருவாயூர் கோயில் சுவாமியைத் தன் முதுகில் ஊர்வலமாக எடுத்துச் செல்லத் தொடங்கியது.

Guruvayur temple elephant Gajaratnam Padmanabhan dies at 84. An elephant credited with carrying the “Thidambu” -- the miniature of the presiding deity of Lord Krishna of Guruvayur Temple-- for several decades during temple rituals died on Wednesday at the age of 84, a top Gurvayur Devaswom official said.
