under strict social distancing conditions. .
Sparks flew immediately
as President Donald Trump
attempted to steam-roll control of the debate. .
Topics in the first 15 minutes jumped from the Supreme Court to the Affordable Care Act to COVID-19.
The first segment ended with
Biden shaking his head at Trump, saying
"Will you shut up, man. That is so unpresidential.".
Trump touted his record concerning the virus
and the possibility of a COVID-19 vaccine,
while Biden stated that Trump cannot be trusted.
When asked about how much he
paid in taxes in 2016, Trump claimed
that he paid "millions of dollars" in taxes. .
By the fourth segment,
Wallace had gained some form of control of the debate.
The topic shifted to the issue of race in America.
Trump was put on the defensive
about recent changes made by his
administration concerning racial sensitivity training.
Biden evoked the notion of bringing both poles
of the country together in order to "defeat racism.".
Trump egged on Biden to use the lynchpin phrase
of his campaign, "law and order.".

Trump refused to go on the record stating as much.
Biden stated he would accept the results of the election
