J.J. Watt Reacts to Fans Who Booed the
NFL Opener's Moment of Silence.
On Thursday night, the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against
the Houston Texans in the first NFL game of the season. .
Before the game, the two teams
took to the middle of the field to stand
arm-in-arm for a moment of silence.
The moment, “dedicated to
the ongoing fight for equality,”
was interrupted by boos
from the crowd.
Following the game, J.J. Watt, defensive
end for the Houston Texans, spoke out
about the crowd’s adverse reaction.
He called the booing “unfortunate,” saying
he didn’t “fully understand” why it happened. .
There was no flag involved, there was
nothing involved with that besides two
teams coming together to show unity, J.J. Watt, via Insider.

during the playing of the national anthem
