Team With Bubba Wallace as Driver.
Michael Jordan
is officially coming
to NASCAR.
The NBA superstar is forming
his own single car team with
current driver Denny Hamlin. .
Hamlin announced the news on Monday,
saying he and Jordan were ready to take their
friendship of 11 years to the “next level.” .
He also revealed that Bubba Wallace, the only
Black driver competing full time at the national
series level, would be the team’s first driver. .
Bubba has shown improvement since joining
the Cup series, and we believe he's ready to
take his career to a higher level … Off the
track, Bubba has been a loud voice for change
in our sport and our country … ,

Jordan mirrored Hamlin’s excitement
in his own statement, saying he’s “been a
NASCAR fan [his] whole life.”.
He then spoke about how he
plans to use this “opportunity”
to “educate” and continue to
“combat systemic racism.”.
NASCAR is evolving and embracing social
change more and more … I see this as a chance
to educate a new audience and open more
opportunities for Black people in racing,
