The International Red Cross Organisation is an international humanitarian organisation with approximately 17 million volunteers, members and staff worldwide. It was founded to help alleviate human suffering, to aid in protecting human life and health, to ensure respect for all human beings. May 8th is recognised as World Red Cross Day.
