Dean Elgar and Quinton de Kock registered their first Test centuries on Indian soil as South Africa toiled hard to keep themselves alive in the opening game of the three-match Test series at Visakhapatnam. De Kock and Elgar also hit several milestones, while Ashwin registered his first five-wicket haul in Test cricket after 2017. It was the off-spinner’s 27th five-wicket haul in Test career. Ravindra Jadeja also etched his name in an illustrious list.
