Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his condolences to the families of the army men who lost their lives during the violent face-off between Indian & Chinese troops. Sonia Gandhi on June 16 said she was “deeply anguished and pained.” The clash took place at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh's Galwan Valley on the night of June15-16. 20 Indian soldiers were killed in the violent face-off as per the Indian Army. Congress, has demanded that PM Narendra Modi share the ground situation at Ladakh with the nation, including how much of Indian territory is under Chinese control. BJP chief JP Nadda said the Congress always created political issues during a crisis. Bollywood celebs also took to social media to pay condolences to the martyrs’ families. Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Hrithik Roshan, Nimrat Kaur, Neha Dhupia, Yami Gautam and others tweeted their condolences. Tensions along the Sino-Indian border in Ladakh sector erupted in early May, after the Chinese troopers reportedly exceeded the area of their patrolling.
