Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said conditional movement control order (MCO) imposed on areas that registered high numbers of Covid-19 cases has been effective bringing down infection rates (R0).
While measures might not be as strict as a full MCO, measures that limited social interactions managed to bring down the R0 value from 2.2 in September to just 1 today (Nov 4).
R0 is used to indicate how contagious a disease is.
