After more than a month of investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the Mumbai Police have now summoned three more people. They have been at the centre of the debate on social media. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh revealed on July 26 to the media that the Mumbai Police has now summoned Mahesh Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut & Karan Johar’s manager. The state home minister also revealed that statements of at least 37 people has been recorded so far. Deshmukh said that Karan Johar will be called if the need arises. So far, many big names including film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and filmmaker Aditya Chopra, have been investigated and their statements recorded. Yash Raj Films casting director Shanoo Sharma was also called in to record her statement. Rumi Jaffery, Sushant's last co-star Sanjana Sanghi and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty were also called in by the Mumbai Police. Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020 at his Mumbai residence. His death had caused an uproar on social media as people called out nepotism in Bollywood.
