The Central Bureau of Investigation on August 6 registered an FIR in Sushant Singh Rajput death case against six people, including Rhea Chakraborty. Others named in the FIR are Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty, father Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Rhea's associate and Sushant Singh Rajput's house managers Samuel Miranda & Shruti Modi. The charges levelled against them are that of criminal conspiracy, abetment to suicide, wrongful restraint or confinement, theft, cheating, intimidation, among others. CBI took over the investigation of the 34-year-old actor on August 5 after the Centre handed them the case on Bihar government's recommendation. The team will be headed by Manoj Sashidhar, IPS, Gujarat Cadre, while DIG Gagandeep Ghambir will supervise the probe. Anil Yadav will be the investigation officer in the team. Rhea Chakraborty, who sought a transfer of the case filed against her in Patna to Mumbai, on August 6 said the Central Bureau of Investigation should stay away till the Supreme Court has given its verdict on the issue. An investigation by the CBI at this point will be "totally illegal and beyond any known legal principles, affecting the Federal Structure of the Nation," she said in a statement. Sushant Singh Rajput, a rising star in Hindi films, was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
