Popular Urdu poet Rahat Indori, whose powerful poetry filled halls and connected with the old & young alike, is no more. He died of a heart attack at a hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on August 11. He was being treated for COVID-19. The 70-year-old teacher turned poet was hospitalised after he tested positive for coronavirus. He is survived by three sons and a daughter. Rahat Indori was undergoing treatment at the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences. The renowned poet had tweeted about his COVID-19 diagnosis and said he will keep everyone updated through social media. Indori famously wrote, "Sabhi ka khoon shaamil hai yahan ki mitti mein, kisi ke baap ka Hindustan thodi hai". Prominent political personalities took to Twitter to express their grief.
