트럼프 역전이냐 바이든 굳히기냐, 오늘 TV토론 맞대결

We start with the final presidential debate in the United States.
The two candidates... President Trump and the former Vice President Joe Biden had a last face-off in the televised event just less than two weeks before the election day on November 3rd.
We have our reporter Choi Won-jong on the line this afternoon. Won-jong, tell us more about this final debate.
Good afternoon, Mark.
Like you said, the final presidential debate took place at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and just ended a couple of minutes ago.
Originally, the second presidential debate was scheduled to take place on October 15, but due to President Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis and refusal to have a virtual debate, it was canceled abruptly.
This final debate started off very peacefully without any interruptions by the candidates.
Of the six topics during the debate, their first question was about the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are what the candidates had to say, take a listen.
"It will go away. And as I say, we're rounding the turn. We're rounding the corner. It's going away."
"Folks, I will take care of this. I will end this. I will make sure we have a plan."
During the debate, Trump said repeatedly that the nation has been turning the corner on the pandemic, but Biden criticized that optimistic response, adding that he would make sure everyone would wear masks all the time and he would set up national standards to open schools and businesses.
Along with debates on the pandemic, both candidates were also asked about how they would deal with North Korea.
Trump was initially asked if North Korea betrayed him due to their recent nuclear development, and he emphasized that he has a good relationship with Kim Jong-un and there has been no war.
However, Biden quickly responded to Trump's stance and he will meet with Kim Jong-un under the one condition of the Korean peninsula as a nuclear free zone.
Won-jong, we heard that this final debate was a little bit different from previous one. What can you tell us?
Yes, that's right. The first debate was full of interruptions from both candidates. That's why, this time each candidate had two minutes to answer the initial questions. During that period, the opposing candidate's microphone was supposed to be muted.
At the event, members of Trump family, including the First Lady came in wearing masks.
Right now, millions of American voters are casting their ballots early across the nation ahead of the election day on November 3rd.
We will bring more updates on this later newscast. Back to you, Mark.
