The film Pukar is very close to my heart not only mine but also Rajkumar Santoshi who is the director of the film. After many years I felt the satisfaction with every department, we tried and worked hard and the film went very good. Last year my first film which released was 'Hum Apke Dil Mein Rehte Hain' in which I played the character of NRI who doesn't believe in marriages, and after that a comedy film 'Biwi Number 1' and then Taal and in Pukar for the first time I played the character of an Army officer. For the film 'Pukar' I worked on my physical appearance and when you watch the film you'll find a certain difference. An Army officer Major Ravi was with us through out the shooting of the film to teach us the methods and ways an Army officer talks and interact. There is a particular committee of Indian Army who watch every film based on Army when they watched this film they said that this is the perfect film there is not a single flaw on the uniform, on the badges. The story of 'Pukar' is a very unusual love story with te Army background. We tried to tell that an Army officer is not only a fighting machine but also a human.
