"핸드폰은 안써요" 이집트 수리 장인, 골동품 전화기 수집
This vintage telephone collector in Egypt uses an old phone from 1898, instead of a pocket-sized smart phone that most people use nowadays.
The 65-year-old, who owns a telephone repair shop, buys vintage phones from auctions, or collects those that have been discarded and fixes them.
His family-run shop may not make a fortune, but is run with passion.
"Repairing old telephones is my profession, my father's and my grandfather's. I inherited it from them. I love it, because it is what we're good at. It's not about the money, I cannot abandon the thing that I grew up being attached to and loved."
Some of the restored phones in his collection date back to the 1800s.
The collector says he plans to pass down some of the antique phones to his sons.
