추석연휴를 앞둔 버스터미널과 공항, 방역으로 한창...방역로봇까지?
Every Chuseok holiday, Seoul Express Bus Terminal and Gimpo International Airport bustle with city-dwellers heading out of the capital.
How are the city's busiest transport hubs dealing with the crowds of travelers while reducing the risk of COVID- 19?
Our Kim Yeon-seung has more.
This Chuseok, airports and bus terminals in Seoul are taking extra precautions against COVID-19.
Seoul Express Bus Terminal has even brought in cutting-edge AI robots to monitor the risk of the virus.
This robot plays a key role in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
I'm going to lower my mask to right under my nose to show you how.
The facial recognition technology of this robot can tell that my nose is peeking out of my mask, and the robot gently reminds me to wear my mask properly.
The robot is also equipped with a thermal camera that can check the temperatures of 15 people at once from as far as 3 meters away.
In just one minute, the robot can analyze up to 180 people.
"When we just used a thermal camera, it was difficult to tell people apart from each other. And it only beeped when there was someone with a high temperature. This robot can tell me which person it is."
If a person displays symptoms of COVID-19, the robot immediately alerts bus terminal personnel, who will then guide the person to a nearby test center.
Gimpo International Airport is also taking extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
"In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Korea Airports Corporation disinfects the whole airport once a day and the surfaces of facilities used by passengers at least three times a day."
Gimpo Airport also checks the temperatures and takes the contact information of each passenger so that everyone can travel safely this Chuseok.
